December 16:
Today you will have an opportunity to Show What You Know about Geometry.
 

December 15:
Click here to access the answers to last night's practice problems.  Today in class we will discover the formulas for the circumference and area of circles.  We will review for tomorrow's Show What You Know about Geometry (click here for the "I Can" statements that you need to have mastered).  The best way to review for this is to make sure you can work all the practice problems from the Geometry Worksheet as well as the Transformations Worksheet and the Area & Perimeter Worksheet we checked today in class.
 

December 14:
Click here to access the practice problems for perimeter and area.  These are due at the beginning of class tomorrow.  Today we will finish our notes and work examples for perimeter and area of triangles and quadrilaterals.  We will also read the book "Sir Cumference and the Dragon of Pi" to lead in to tomorrow's lesson on circumference and area of circles.

Today we will check the answers to our Geometry practice problems and correct the problems from our Show What You Know about Fractions, Decimals, and Percents.  You will also have an opportunity to practice plotting points using the online games (See Sixth Grade Resources - Geometry - Plotting Points Games).
 

December 3:
Today we will review how to plot points on a coordinate plane and you will have some time to continue working on the practice problems that are due Monday.  You can also play games from the 6th grade resources page that practice plotting points.
 

December 2:
Today we will continue classifying quadrilaterals.  You will also have some time to begin working on the practice problems that are due at the beginning of class on Monday.  Click here for the practice problems.

Today we will classify quadrilaterals and play online games to practice the topics we have studied the past couple of days.
 

November 30:

Today we will continue our laptop introduction.  At the end of the tutorials you should be able to save to your H: drive and save to your Skydrive.  You should also be able to email an attachment.  Please let me know if you have trouble with any of these skills.  You also need to be working on the corrections for your Show What You Know about Decimal Operations.  Reminder that if you want to reassess, you need to complete the form on the Home Page of this blog.


November 8:
Yeah!  The laptops have finally arrived!!  We will review the laptop expectations and then begin the laptop introduction designed by the digital curriculum team.  To access this lesson, go to the OPS Homepage and click on OPS Education Portal.
  

October 22:
Today we will be checking the answers to a lot of practice problems we have been working on, and you will begin working on a few more practice problems for decimal operations.  Click here to access the practice problems that we started working on in class today.
 
October 21:
Today we will work with converting fractions to decimals and decimals to fractions.  Be sure that you are working to master all four of the decimal operations because a Show What You Know about Adding, Subtracting, Multiplying, and Dividing Decimals is coming soon!  You can play any of the games that I have previously listed or work any of the practice problems from worksheets that I have listed.  You also need to complete the worksheet which reviews finding the missing number.  It is due at the beginning of class on Monday.
